Gail Khan Associates Announces Formation of Heritage Multi Academy Trust

Gail Khan Associates (GKA) is proud to announce the official formation of Heritage Multi Academy Trust (Heritage MAT) today, 1 April 2025. The new Trust has been established through the collaboration of two single academies and four local authority-maintained schools in the Kirklees area. These include Lindley Junior School and Salendine Nook High School as the two single academies, with Moorlands Primary, Reinwood Infant and Nursery, Reinwood Juniors and Spring Grove Junior, Infant and Nursery Schools all due to join in the coming months. 

GKA played a pivotal role in the successful creation of the Heritage MAT, conducting comprehensive due diligence and managing the entire process of bringing the schools together. The work included overseeing the applications to the DfE, consultation, transfer of the two single academies to the new trust, identifying and mitigating risks, overseeing the complex legal requirements, and facilitating the smooth transition of staff through the TUPE process. As the first two schools have now joined the trust, work will commence on the 4 maintained schools conversions ready for them joining in Autumn 2025.
