Carnagill Primary School joins Dales Academies Trust

GKA are pleased to announce the successful conversion of Carnagill Primary School converting to Academy status and joining Dales Academies Trust on 1 April 2020.  This is the 14th school to join the Trust since its formation in September 2017.  GKA were responsible for the overall project management ensuring the conversion was achieved on time and within budget.

New School in Hull

Euler Academy in Hull which will be part of Venn Academy Trust is moving forwards with the design of its new school building which is due to be opening in September 2021.  The initial designs ahead of planning have been created and now the team will take this forward in preparation for planning.

Carnagill Primary School

Stakeholder consultation is complete at Carnagill Primary School in Catterick Garrison who are looking to join Dales Academies Trust in April 2020.  Facilitated by GKA we are now completing a full report which will be available on the schools website.

New Special Free Schools

During February the team at GKA supported clients at interviews with the DfE for new Special Free Schools.  We hope to find out if the bids have been successful in March - fingers are crossed.

GKA Charity Donations

At the start of the year the company made charitable donations to two local charities: The Bradford Toy Library Home Start Bradford Both charities support vulnerable children, families and adults in the Bradford District where GKA is based and we felt this year rather than send cards at Christmas this would be a better alternative. We hope the money will go a little way to helping both charities during 2020!

Principal’s Survey for the 4th time for The Elliot Foundation

The Elliot Foundation for the 4th time have asked GKA to conduct their Annual Principal’s Survey for the academic year 2018/19.  The Principal’s survey will consist of each Executive Headteacher/Headteacher completing an online survey on various aspects of the Trust before meeting Gail Khan in person to discuss and have their say on how the Trust is supporting the schools.  GKA will submit their report and findings before Christmas for the Elliot Foundation to action as necessary.

Selective School Expansion Fund Success – December 2018

GKA goes Global – September/October 2018

In the autumn term Gail Khan was appointed by KPMG to facilitate a teaching and learning review of 5 female technical colleges in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  The review was requested by the authorities to help inform future planning and expansion programmes which will see more females having access to further education and ultimately employment opportunities.  The work consisted of a review of documentation, consultation activities with staff and students, data analysis, lesson observations and report writing
