In October 2017, GKA were commissioned to support the delivery of a new social mobility degree apprenticeship in Social Work project. Working alongside Leeds Beckett University and Bradford College as the lead providers in the region, two consultants facilitated activities to ensure programme readiness and that employers were engaged in the delivery of the new apprenticeship offer.

Increasing awareness and participation amongst employers of the degree apprenticeship option has enabled them to identify future apprentices who may not otherwise have been able to access a degree level course.

GKA were excellent, their two consultants Helen and Gail engaged the working group immediately and set to work to ensure the apprenticeship is ready to be rolled out in the 2018/19 academic year. They developed excellent employer engagement throughout the project which has offered the employers a great opportunity to access their levy but whilst ensuring the education offer is tailored to the needs of their employees.
