This was one of the most complex Free School projects nationally. Our team supported the development of the successful application in 2011 and subsequently project managed the school through to opening, working together with the proposer group and education partner.

Due to complex land negotiations the school opened in temporary buildings in September 2014 and will move to its new build in September 2016 – five whole years following approval, thanks to the tenacious team. Gail Khan has remained a Governor at the school and is a member of the Ingleby Manor Foundation Trust – the charitable arm of the proposer group, which facilitates fundraising activities to invest back into the school.

Gail was a pivotal part of our team from the day she got involved. Her commitment, enthusiasm and knowledge was central to our success and we couldn’t have done it without her. The attention to detail and constructive challenge enabled us to deliver a successful application and then to project manage the school through to opening in September 2014.
