BDAT and Bradford Girls’ Grammar School celebrate a good start to 2023 as Trust partnership formalised

Principal’s Survey for The Elliot Foundation

The annual Principal's Survey at The Elliot Foundation Academies Trust (TEFAT) took place in November 2021 with the final report and recommendations made to the Trust in December.  Over 26 schools participated in the review, they each responded to an online survey which was in turn followed up by a combination of physical and virtual meetings.  The review considers the impact of the Trust central capacity in support of the schools and also asks "3 Big Questions".  Feedback will now…

Formation of St Joseph’s Multi Academy Trust

Gail Khan Associates have been appointed Project Managers to support the Catholic Diocese of Liverpool in the formation of the St Joseph's Multi Academy Trust.  The Trust which is due to open in Spring 2022 will be home to over 12 Primary and Secondary schools across areas of the North West of England.

Governance Review for BDAT

During the autumn term the GKA team were commissioned by Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust to facilitate an external review of governance at the Trust.  A combination of review methods were used including online surveys, observations, focus group meetings and online/documentation research across all levels of their governance and leadership structure.  In December the final report and findings were shared with the Board of Trustees so they can move forward with their action planning in the new year and beyond.

Free School Presumption success for Dales Academies Trust

New Multi Academy Trust in Lichfield

In December 2020, Andrew Warren the RSC for the West Midlands approved the formation of the new Three Spires Trust. Formed by the Diocese of Lichfield and working alongside Gail Khan Associates the new Trust (Three Spires) opened its doors to schools in April 2021. Opening of Harry Watts Academy in Sunderland

Gail Khan Associates are pleased to announce the opening of Prosper Learning Trust's new school Harry Watts Academy in Sunderland on 1 September 2020.  Harry Watts Academy is a special school providing education for children aged 5-16 based in the city of Sunderland.  Starting with 8 pupils in the temporary site at Harraton and growing to 96 pupils by September 2022.

Gail Khan Associates have been working with Prosper Learning Trust and the Local Authority in Sunderland to secure temporary accommodation for their new school Harry Watts Academy.  The temporary site will open in September with the permanent build being ready in 2021.  Prosper will receive the keys to the temporary site on 24 August where the finishing touches with furniture and equipment will be installed ready for the start of term.
